How to really get your artwork out in the public today!
welcome back!! Sorry for not having an up-date for the last two day!
Today I would like to talk about how to get your art work out into the public’s eyes!
Having your art work stuck in the basement, so only the rats and mice can see it really doesn’t accomplishes anything good. Yeah, your family might see it, but do they really car that much?? maybe, but that wont get money in your pocket! right!
Get your work out of storage, out of the old smelly basement, and start showing it to everyone, and I mean EVERYONE!!!!! It 100% recommend that you start with displaying your artwork in high traffic businesses and restaurants or going to an art gallery and saying ” ill let you have this piece of art, in exchange for space to hang it up”.
It is possible they will say hell no!, but you haven’t lost anything. Don’t give up! go to the next place, then the next, next, next, and so on! Sometime you will get your break!! Never get angry, or mad! Keep it positive!
Also keep in mind that Businesses and restaurants want to make money, so lots of times they try to enhance their environments. This is done because they need to reach out to customers, jus the very same as your trying to do.
Maybe, when your eating, the wall on one side looks bare, and your artwork could very well complement the ambiance of their business. Take the risk and ask them if they would allow you to display your art at no charge to them. Why loan out your artwork? So that you can place a small sign or plague in close proximity to the piece of art.
Then go and make a very nice looking type of signage. This will be your way of letting the customer know where they can buy this piece and where they can contact the artist to preview additional items for sale. Remember the Artwork that you choose needs to fit in perfectly! That means choose carefully!
I’m writing this to not just help you all out, but so that I can start to do the very same, since this is one thing that I have never done before….
So get out their with your art and sell it without really selling… good luck, but don’t rely on it!!!!!!
